I spent a day in Perlis

It's National Day on 31th August, the saints in Sungai Petani had a blending trip to Perlis to meet the Saints in Kangar. We went to see the new meeting hall in Kangar first. It's a three-story shoplot. We just view it from outside because they haven't officially use it for meeting. 
Before I came I already heard them discussing about the one of the famous pau stall here. They said that the pau sold out real quick and the owner doesn't accept any pre-order so we have to come early to buy it. When we arrived, we just realized that it's closed that day LOL. Then we went to another pau shop but I didn't buy any because I left early with another sister to Gua Kelam. We had some fellowship there. We sang hymn #1205 and I really enjoy stanza 1:

Press on, press on toward the goal-
The all-inclusive Christ.
To gain the prize of God's high call,
Press on, press on to Christ!
Pressing on! Pressing on!
Pressing on! Hallelujah for the prize
We're pressing on! On and on!
To gain the Christ of God!

After listening to the saint's sharing, I was reminded that my goal is only the Christ. Everything I do in my life is for Him. In stanza 4 it said that ' Press on, press on, this one thing do, Forget the thing behind', I see that in order to gain more of Him, I need to keep pressing on and forget the things behind. At first I thought that 'the things behind' means the things that distracted us from loving the Lord, but one of the sisters shared that to forget the things behind included to forget all our past experiences with God. Everyday we come to Him with a new heart and empty ourselves for Him so that He may infuse Himself into us.

Then we went to Padang Besar. Most of the things sold here are from Thailand. We walked around for about half an hour then went to Kuala Perlis for dinner. We had dinner at a seafood restaurant. The food was good. After dinner we walked around and play bubble to take photo hahaha. I'm glad to meet the Saints from different places, some of them are from Kangar, some are from Philippines and other places.

3 more days to my final exam!! Can't wait to get this over so I can go back to hometown to eat good foooood. Little Thoughts before mid sem test

I'm actually writing this in physics lecture class lol. It's gonna be a busy day for me today because I have a lot of tasks to be done. I actually have an undone chemistry folio which I'm supposed to hand in on Friday, maths assignment which I have to hand in tomorrow, bio tutorial which we will be discussing tomorrow, not to mention the revisions that I've to do for the mid sem test next week. I also haven't started doing the maths tutorial which will be discussed later at 2pm. The reason behind all these undone tasks is because I went out with friends last night. If I didn't go out then I might be able to finish at least chemistry folio and maths assingment, and maybe maths tutorial as well. In case you ask me do I regret going out last night, the ans is 'No.' Of course studies are more important than hanging out with friends but I don't think the price of having fun is that I will be left behind. Overstepped Cafe

After hours of non-stop writing, finally I've done my Biology lab report and have some time to blog about the cafe I went with my friend (Joshua) yesterday. What's better than having a friend to ask you out when you're craving for good food? Haha so yesterday I went to Overstepped Cafe which is located quite far away from my campus, about 15km away. This cafe is located near the toll station but I can tell this cafe has its reputation here despite its not-strategic-location which is away from town. Why? Because the moment we got into the cafe, what welcomed us was the noise of people chit chatting. For a second I thought I was in a kopitiam rather than a cafe because it was really noisy inside. It was around 2.30pm when we reached but many tables were occupied even though it's not lunch hour. Fortunately, we managed to be seated at a table for 2.
