Tavern Kitchen & Bar

I've been staying at home ALMOST everyday since I came back from Sungai Petani. Last Sunday I went to Aerica's 4th birthday party at Oceanus Mall. She is the youngest sister of my friend, Audrenny. Audrenny and I have been close since we're junior 1 (form 1). We're at the same class except in J2 and J3 if I've not mistaken. Her house is not far from mine and we went to tuition together as well so we're quite close since then.

I haven't got a chance to meet my other friends in the first week because I just got my driving license renewed last week. It surprised me that there're many new cafes in town which I haven't tried out. Last Tuesday, Robin came picked me up and we went to SOULed Out at Imago. It was a quick meet-up so I didn't manage to take any pictures. Last Friday I met up with Audrenny, Tommy and Nicol at Tavern Kitchen and Bar. It's located at Aramaiti Street Walk outside Imago Shopping Mall, which was the same location as SOULed Out.

I can say Tavern is quite to the liking of locals because it's so crowded when we arrived. We're lucky enough to get seats for four right away so we didn't have to wait. Tavern is specialising in local and western cuisine. It serves western cuisine with 'Sabah style'. I ordered for myself Pasta Aglio Olio A La Tavern which is served with fish slices, squid, prawns and salted fish. Yeah, salted fish, sounds local right? Audrenny got herself Mile High Beef Burger. It has two 150g Aussie beef patties and came with either chips or wedges so it's quite big portion.
Nicol ordered Soft Shell Crab Burger but he didn't like it very much. We also ordered Boom Boom Sizzling Brownie to share among us. It's vanilla ice cream and brownie with hot chocolate sauce poured on it so when you eat it you can tasted both hot chocolate and cold ice-cream, quite special for me.

It's a great catch up, We spent lots of time chatting. I'm looking forward to next outing.

Cheers!
