Wan Roti Canai Beratur

While having dinner with Xin Hui, Pei Rong, Shumin, Joshua and Jun last night, Jun decided to go home to take his nametag so we had an impromptu trip to Alor Setar. We wanted to eat roti tampal there since we didn't manage to try it on Monday before coming back to Aimst from Langkawi. Seriously all the roti tasted so nice, we ordered roti pisang, roti kaya, roti planta and 3 roti tampal. It's my first time trying roti tampal. Roti tampal is basically a roti with a fried soft boiled egg on top of it. What makes it differ from roti telur is that the egg wasn't cracked into the dough but instead it's cracked directly onto the pan and it's brought to half raw.

According to Jun, this stall is quite repute in this area. We actually qued for about 15 mins to get our order placed. He said that time was not even the peak hour and it was the time when the least people come to eat. Overall it was a satisfying supper for me. Although the roti didn't look appealing to me but they really tasted good.
